General Summary:
The service Estimator will be responsible for the development and growth of the service sales area, working independently and with other departments to prepare estimates/quotes for service-related items, Work in conjunction with the sales department to couple service installation, preventative maintenance service, service contracts and system installations with the sale of new products and systems. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, complete knowledge of Exotic air compressor product line, service piping, servicing customer inquiries, product and service requests, quotations, order entry, order follow-up and all system functions related to sales and/or purchasing. 
Essential Job Functions:
  • Knowledge of all air compressor product lines, piping, preventative maintenance, installations, and product nomenclature.
  • Responsible for complete understanding of the in-depth flow of all types of air compressor Customer Service responsibilities and timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Responsible for completely understanding all policies and procedures within the service department and corporation.
  • Responsible for all aspects of creating and processing service orders, including the input of customer product records, order follow-up and expediting.
  • Advises on parts inventory sources and stocking requirements.
  • Assists the Service Manager / Service Support Supervisor with maintaining service contracts and scheduling.
  • Outstanding phone sales customer service.
  • Maintains open Quotes / WIP follow-up to achieve expected hit ratio.
  • Open order report resolution.
  • Resolution of related account discrepancies.
  • Knowledge of customer pricing system and rebates.
  • Quotation interface with sales staff and customers.
  • Accounting interfacing (invoice rejections, non-payment on orders, etc.).
  • Knowledge of core vendor base and pricing structure.
  • Procures needed products/services to fill customer requirements.
  • Acquires a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
  • Expands the relationships with existing customers by continuously meeting objectives and proposing new solutions or products.
  • Participate and maintain specific KPIs that will demonstrate customer satisfied objective and performance efficiencies.
  • Assists with selling priority project opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • High School Diploma (required), Associate’s degree preferred.
  • Five plus (5+) years industrial customer service experience (air compressor / Piping industry preferred).
  • Five plus (5+) years experience with supporting a field service team.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt to different types of personalities.
  • Intermediate PC/MS Office skills.
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service attributes.
  • Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team.  Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.
Working Conditions:
  • Normal office environment with regular (up to 100% of work time) exposure to noise, dust, office equipment and supplies. 
  • Physical dexterity needed to bend, stretch, lift and reach.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extensive periods throughout the day.
  • Ability to perform basic office tasks using standard office equipment.
